Jacqueline was born in Haiti and enrolled at a young age at
the workshop in Port-au-Prince. She earned a Bachelor’s
degree in Architecture at the University of Haiti. After
moving to Quebec, she earned a Master’s degree in
Architectural Planning at l’Université de Montreal and
participated in workshops in visual arts at the Musée de l’Art
Contemporain de Montreal . She has to her credit many
collective exhibits. Her paintings (works) bear witness to the
importance of joy and harmony in life.
After
20 years of drawing in ink on paper and dabbling in
watercolors and gouache, she now concentrates on sharing a
spiritual message through oil painting. She finds this medium
an excellent means of expression through color, with a
harmonious relationship of shades.
On a
spontaneously created background, Jacqueline cast first
impressions. Her work features free expression though a blend
of techniques with the aim of promoting peace trough art.
Creativity
is part of my life, being that I work in architectural design.
I am either painting or using the computer. Sometimes, I feel
more like painting that drafting. Worse come to worse I have
to create a vital environment, I choose one idea since I have
some conflict, however painting is different. Inspiration does
not play a major role in my work of arts that are created in
the spur of the moment, spontaneously. I admire texture and
promote harmony of colours. My voyages have enriched my
knowledge of art.
